Cheese SEO — the on-page audit you run yourself
Five concrete checks for one page. A checklist, not a 60-page report.
Cheese SEO is the tool I built because I got tired of paying agencies $2k/month to do the same five things to a page. It does not replace an agency. It replaces the recurring cost of an audit that you could have done yourself in twenty minutes, if you had the checklist.
The paid version runs the five checks in your browser, gives you the output as a markdown file you can paste into your editor, and never asks you to log in. No subscription, no dashboard, no "AI credits" meter. One price, one file, one page.
**What's inside — the five modules**
1. **Schema.org type audit.** Parses the page and tells you which types it should declare (Product, Offer, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList, HowTo, Article — only the ones that match the actual content). 2. **Heading tree vs top-3 SERP.** Compares your H1/H2/H3 structure against the three organic winners for the same query. The output is a diff, not a 60-page report. 3. **Entity association surface.** Surfaces the entities Google has linked to the page topic, so you can use them in body copy. This is the part most agencies do manually in Sheets. 4. **llms.txt generator.** Generates a site-wide llms.txt from your sitemap in one click. The file is the one that gets picked up by ChatGPT, Claude, and the LLM crawlers. 5. **AEO audit.** Checks whether the page actually answers the questions voice assistants are asking for the topic. The output is a list of "questions the page should answer but does not" — not a score.
**Why it is one file, not a dashboard**
The output of every check is appended to a single markdown file. You open it in your editor, you see the same five sections, you fix the four things that are off, you re-run. The whole loop is twenty minutes. The agency version of the same loop is a Slack thread, a Notion page, and a 2-week feedback cycle.
**Who it is for**
A solo founder running a WooCommerce store, a HubSpot blog, or a Webflow site. A marketer who has outgrown the free tools (Ahrefs free, the Schema.org validator) but is not ready to hire a $2k/month agency. A consultant who runs the same five checks for clients and wants to do it in 20 minutes instead of 2 weeks.
**Who it is not for**
A Fortune 500 SEO team. An agency that needs white-label reports. Anyone who wants a 60-page PDF. If you are one of these, please hire an agency — there is a reason they exist.
The tutorial ships in Notion, not PDF, because the content is a wiki, not a book. The five modules reference each other, and Notion is the only place I have found that lets me update one module without breaking the others. After purchase you get a Notion invite within 24 hours.
